Product Description

AHPFC panel is an integration of CRCA Ms Sheet enclosure with powder coated, fully wired with self healing MPP capacitor & Reactor, capacitor duty contactor, fan, APFCR, all switchgear, with IP protection busbar AL/CU with IEC STD.

An AHPFC Panel refers to an Automatic Harmonic and Power Factor Correction Panel. This is an integrated electrical panel designed to improve both the power factor and reduce harmonic distortion in electrical systems. It combines the functionalities of harmonic filtering and power factor correction to optimize the overall power quality efficiency and performance of electrical systems.

Key Features of an AHPFC Panel

1. Harmonic Filtering

The panel uses advanced technology (like active or passive harmonic filters) to reduce harmonic distortion caused by non-linear loads (such as variable frequency drives   computers, and other electronic equipment).

Harmonic distortion can cause equipment overheating, power losses, and malfunctions. The panel helps mitigate these effects by filtering out unwanted harmonics.

2. Power Factor Correction (PFC)

The panel uses capacitors or other reactive power compensation devices to improve the power factor, reducing the amount of reactive power in the system. A higher power factor means more efficient power delivery and reduces losses.

Power factor correction is essential to avoid penalties from utilities for poor power factor and to reduce energy consumption.

3. Automatic Control

The panel automatically adjusts its operation based on real-time measurements of voltage, current, and harmonics in the system. It continuously monitors and compensates for changes in load conditions, ensuring that the system always operates at optimal power factor levels and minimizes harmonic distortion.

4. Power Quality Monitoring

The panel often includes built-in monitoring capabilities to track and display key metrics such as harmonic distortion levels, total harmonic distortion (THD), power factor and other critical power quality parameters.

Advanced panels may also offer remote monitoring for more convenient system oversight.

5. Reactive Power Compensation

The power factor correction part of the panel typically consists of automatic banks of capacitors that provide or absorb reactive power as needed. This helps to maintain a stable voltage level and efficient power system.

6. Protection Features

The AHPFC panel typically includes protections like overcurrent overvoltage short circuit and overload protection to safeguard the system and ensure reliable operation.

Benefits of AHPFC Panels

1. Improved Power Factor

The primary benefit of the AHPFC panel is to automatically correct the power factor which reduces system losses minimizes energy waste and avoids utility penalties for low power factor.

2. Reduced Harmonics

By filtering harmonics the panel improves the overall power quality prevents damage to sensitive equipment  reduces losses in the system and ensures stable operation of electronic devices.

3. Energy Efficiency

Optimizing the power factor and reducing harmonic distortion leads to more efficient energy use which can result in lower electricity costs and less strain on the power grid.

4. Enhanced Equipment Longevity

By maintaining a stable voltage and reducing the harmful effects of harmonics, the AHPFC panel helps to extend the life of electrical equipment and prevent premature failures.

5. Automatic Operation

The automatic nature of the panel means that it continuously adjusts to changes in the system, ensuring constant optimization of power quality without the need for manual intervention.

6. Compliance with Standards

Many electrical systems are subject to strict standards for power quality. The AHPFC panel helps ensure compliance with these standards, improving overall system reliability and efficiency.

Applications of AHPFC Panels

Industrial and Manufacturing Facilities

These panels are often used in factories and plants with large electrical loads, where both harmonic distortion and pow
